Summary
Part of a design challenge that required us to design an app that lived in the realm of wellness and partner it with an existing company.Olive is a sexual wellness app designed to be partnered with Oscar Health. It allows users to quickly learn about symptoms, locate a doctor, and book an appointment.

Overview
Prompted by a design challenge to ideate a health & wellness that would pair with an already existing product. The team decided on Olive. A wellness app that would pair. with Oscar Health.
The Challenge
To provide a platform where users can quickly and accurately check symptoms, locate a doctor and book an appointment. And partner it with an established company that feels natural.
Problem Statement
How might we provide adults aged 23-30 with access to information about sexual health, pregnancy, and disease prevention, while making access to medical professionals convenient and more comfortable?

Users prefer to do their own research, but will directly go to the doctor if urgent.

Users trust their doctors and have a hard time talking to doctors they don't know

03.Design
Overview
From our research we were able to identify 3 features that we could design for that would help users during their research.
Solo Research
To allow our users to do their own research we included a "Look Up" function. This allowed them to search various topics as they relate to sexual wellness, with detailed information about each topic maintained by the doctors in the Oscar network.
Chat with A.I.
Users identified confidentiality and familiarity as two important factors when communicating with their doctors. Users felt more comfortable talking about certain subjects having built trust with their doctor. The video call function allows users to schedule a face to face talk with their doctor to talk about subjects private to them.

04.Outcomes
After our second round of testing, we were able to address the problems from the first prototype and saw increases across the board in average time of completion, ease of use score and success rate.
Given more time with this product, I would like to fully evaluate the Oscar family of products and do more research as to where Olive would live in their ecosystem.
